Rebecca Mooney
NZRP, BHSc (Physiotherapy), PGDip (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy), Pelvic Health Certified
Rebecca was born and raised in Pukekohe and spent 12 years competing in gymnastics at national and international levels. After experiencing multiple injuries, she pursued physiotherapy, earning her BHSc (Physiotherapy) from Auckland University of Technology in 2013, followed by postgraduate studies in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (PgDipMSK). In 2020, she began training in pelvic health, driven by her passion for supporting women’s health. Rebecca particularly enjoys helping post-natal and menopausal women regain confidence and quality of life, addressing issues such as incontinence, pelvic pain, and prolapse. At Physio Depot, she provides a welcoming, supportive environment focused on your well-being, guiding you through recovery, pain management, or improving overall physical function.

Susie Pirret
BHSc Physio (AUT), PG Cert Acup (AUT), PG Dip Sports Med (Otago), BPhEd, BSc Anatomy (Otago), Pelvic Health Certified
Before studying physiotherapy at AUT, Susie completed degrees in Physical Education and Anatomy, with postgraduate studies in Sports Medicine at the University of Otago. She served as team massage therapist for the New Zealand Universities Team at the World Games in South Korea and Turkey. Susie has been a long-serving lifeguard and trustee at Port Waikato Sunset Beach Surf Lifesaving Club and was lead physiotherapist for the New Zealand Surf Lifesaving Black Fins Team (2011–2018). She has also provided physiotherapy to Pukekohe Premier Rugby and North Shore Rugby. Recently certified in Pelvic Health, Susie enjoys supporting women through the postnatal period and helping recreational and maturing athletes safely return to sport. A dedicated endurance athlete herself, she believes physiotherapy is key to helping people achieve their goals throughout life.

Malcolm hood
NZRP, NZ Manip., Fell. Sports Medicine (Hon.)
Malcolm Hood is a senior physiotherapist who graduated from Otago and was among the first internationally to obtain a postgraduate qualification in spinal manipulation. He was also part of New Zealand’s first Manipulation cohort and later served on the New Zealand Manipulative Examination Board. Malcolm trained in acupuncture both in New Zealand and overseas and was the first physiotherapist/trainer for Counties Rugby and the New Zealand All Blacks, with additional experience in Tongan and Russian rugby. He has worked with the New Zealand Police, Army, and World Games teams, and has published in Rugby Press, New Zealand Doctor, and the Law Journal. Author of Preparation, Performance and Patch Up, Malcolm holds an honorary Fellowship in Sports Medicine NZ and is a long-standing community advocate through Special Olympics, Counties Manukau Sports, and the Decision Reachout Toro Mai Trust.

David smith
NZRP, BPhty, PgCert Rehab (Physio)
David grew up in Brisbane, Australia, where his early years were shaped by soccer and CrossFit. He owned and operated Armoury Fitness, a functional fitness gym, before deciding to pursue physiotherapy. He completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at James Cook University, Townsville (2023) and a Graduate Certificate in Rehabilitation of Chronic Conditions.
Now based in Pukekohe, David enjoys being part of the local community. Outside the clinic, he spends time with his partner, two young children, and their border collies, Pippa and George.
David works with clients of all ages and has experience with neurological, musculoskeletal, and chronic conditions. He has a special interest in hips, backs, and vestibular rehabilitation.
